NW PR Report and Forecast of 1/13/2010

Morning Report: Checked out several spots up and down the
coast, grabbed a coffee, talked to a camera man shooting some
pics at Little Teapeuo whle watching TdlR. Then paddled out to
TdlR, joining a Island shape rider and another guy who had been
hanging way on the outside. Can't blame him being out there solo
in wave breaking 6-10'.Two shortboarders joined us shortly later.

I hung on the southside peak while the others worked on the main
peak, everyone scoring their share. I probably only caught one or
so in my first hour and then picked up the tempo big time. My trip
wave looked to be small at around 6 foot or so but doubled in size
during the takeoff (ha ha, maybe only to 10') as I free fell the first
6 feet before the afterburners kicked-in, turned and rocketed into a
section that hurled over me.

After the Island style board broke the other guys all paddled in and I
played it easy for the next half hour except for the time being caught
on the inside and was worked over really well. Caught a nice senorita
wave for my last one and the paddle in.
