CRNW Forecast of Friday, 2015-0227a

The weather is nice, and hot. Welcome reprieve from this year's winter!

The mornings Buoyweather forecast... we are approaching our arrival window. Based upon recent long-range forecasts from the premier forecasting site, I would expect our surf to look something like March 4-6, in the table below. Buoyweather only reports 2-letter swell directions, but the numbers reflect the SSW swell range. The periodicity is backing off quite a bit from the peak swell of Monday, March 2nd, to around 13-14 sec, still enough to deliver us energy in SR's Cove, but nothing approaching Outer Wash rhythms. However, forecasts are always subject to change!

Notice the huge drop-off in this morning's swell forecast from those 12-15 ft. ranges. Common for early reports to "over project." The bright jingle below is the reappearance of swell after Tue, March 10th, bottoming out.

A glimpse at the different swell sources and one can see that something keeps popping up. Oh, why I like this destination!
