CRNW Forecast of Sun, 2015-0517p

This is the second forecast for the June 2015 surf trip just before we enter the long-range forecast window. Note the phenomena that each forecast segment grows in size!!

Effective Fri, 2015-0515

Wind/Weather: Most areas will continue to see a typical diurnal wind pattern for the next few days; light/variable to locally light-moderate offshore wind for the early to mid mornings (depending on the specific spot), before a moderate+ onshore sea-breeze gradually develops over the late morning hours and into each afternoon. Good chance for the wind to back off into the evenings for a glass-off for the more sheltered/tucked away spots.

Good chance for passing showers and T-storms scattered about for the next several days, especially offshore. Keep in mind that passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.

EXTENDED FORECAST (Tue, May 19th and beyond)

South Pacific Swell: Blend of old and new SSW (220-190°) swell maintains shoulder-head high range surf at good exposures through the first half of next week, while top spots see better sets.

Further out, continued storm action in the SPAC is cranking out more/stronger S/SSW Southern Hemi which will begin rolling in by next Thursday, 21st, then top out over the following weekend, 23rd-24th, for more overhead++ waves. We'll keep you posted on the progress of that swell as it heads our way.

At this point it looks like a consistent run of good Southern Hemi through the last week of this month. Stay tuned for updates.
