PRNW Forecast of 2016-0106a

Trip south yesterday was uneventful. SWA flight check-in and trip went smoothly, luggage on the carosel promptly, and despite lots of cars on the highway no backups to speak of. Great dinner and welcoming at our hosts' home. And some damn good mojitos!

Surf was flat this morning. Gives me time to get my board finned up, waxed, etc., and everything else in place.

Big swell on the horizon.

Afternoon Update:

Surf

Thursday: 1-3' overhead high NNW ground swell with occasional well overhead high sets.

The NW PR forecast is focused on the beaches around Rincon.    

THURSDAY: 4-6' NNW swell filters in. Expect rapidly rising surf through the AM with solid 2-3'+ overhead sets developing for the more exposed breaks. Winds are light E/ESE around 3-6kts early, becoming light onshore into the afternoon.
